On May 5, Sandwich Emporium participated in the Bacon & Barrels "the Coachella of Bacon" and entered our Pork Saigon Grinder into their competition. We won the Jefe de Porko and the golden ticket to the World Food Championships in Florida in November.

Peter, my brother in law John and I run Sandwich Emporium. The Clairemont shop was the local neighborhood sandwich shop that their dad would take them to when they were kids. It has been in the neighborhood for over 35 years and went on the market 10 years ago. We kept the classic items and introduced our own creations which is inspired by local and international flavors. We now have a location in Escondido and in Mira Mesa.
We had a blast at Bacon & Barrels! Seeing the positive reaction of the numerous people who tasted our Saigon Grinders was thrilling and our team had a great time.
Looking forward to the World Food Championships in November!
