My photos of Paris...
One of the reasons I redid my blog was to organize my travel photos. We are going to Asia and I finally wanted to post my past trips.
I have been thinking of Paris daily since the Charlie Hebdo attack and remembering our visit in 2009. We took the Eurostar from London and stayed 3 nights at The Hotel Concorde La Fayette (now the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile) where we were given a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. We wandered around the city, picnicked at the Tuileries, found fashion inspiration at the Rue du Fabourg Saint-Honore, explored Montmarte (purchased a Petit Bateau pink top at bargain galleria Sympa), people watched in a cafe and curious to try Vietnamese food in the City of Lights, dined on Pho and egg rolls. Double the price of the States, but definitely hit the spot when craving for Asian food on vacation. It was our first trip to Paris together and I am not going to lie, we had our disagreements (we lost each other by the Louvre...no cell phones) but it turned out to be a beautiful trip in the end. To me, Paris is grandeur, elegance, romance, mystery and a bit of hustle and grit thrown in. Fascinating! The place where you can fight with your spouse one minute and make up by the Eiffel Tower the next.
