July has been a busy month at work (thankfully) and I am looking forward to just spending time by the pool reading magazines then visiting cousins in Anaheim.
Have a fantastic weekend!

I love the Game of Thrones! In 2014, I read that theGame of Thrones Survive the Realm exhibit would take place outside the convention center during Comic-Con. I saw the lined that spiraled around the Omni hotel and thought the wait would be 2 hours max. Four and a half hours later (under the hot sun), I finally entered the exhibit and excitedly spent 45 minutes looking at costumes and props, experiencing the virtual reality Climbing the Wall, took a photo on the Iron Throne and with Drogon plus got free temporary tattoos and a t shirt. (Permanent tattoos were also given to select attendees. ) Was it worth the wait?....Absolutely!! I enjoyed the exhibit so much, I lined up again in July for Experience the Realm which featured more interactive activities.
I love it when Comic-Con is in town. Downtown San Diego transforms into a funland that looks like aliens, characters and creatures of all ages from every imaginable galaxy has landed. The air is buzzing with creative energy and a happy excitement that feels like the first time I visited Disneyland when I was a child.
One thing that I love about living in San Diego is being able to decide on a whim to have brunch in Mexico. We woke up one Sunday and took an impromptu roadtrip to Valle de Guadalupe aka the Napa of Baja which has been gaining a reputation as a burgeoning food and wine destination.
It was my first visit and we went to Troika and the Vena Cava winery.
