The new posters for the San Diego Opera by R. Black are exhibited at the University Club atop Symphony Towers. My favorite is Reborn 2015 which perfectly captures the company's comeback. They almost closed last year but were able to raise funds, reorganize, keep performing and will celebrate their 50th year anniversary.

Peter and I went to Romesco Mexiterranean in Bonita with no reservations, and were seated at the intimate dimly lit tapas bar filled with bull fighter posters. The interiors are a bit kitschy, but the space is inviting... the type of spot where you buy bottles of wine and chat for hours. We visited Javier Plascencia's Caesar's and Erizo in Tijuana a few years ago and heard lots of positive buzz about his Baja Med cuisine at Romesco. We were not disappointed.
